Eli Smullen
(Abt 1767-Between 1826/1826) |
Eli Smullen
This Eli is practically guaranteed to be a son of Nathaniel Smullen - the question is, which Nathaniel Smullen? There is Nathaniel, s/o Randall Sr., born 1719 and there is, Nathaniel who was born c1741, s/o Randall Jr. The latter Nathaniel is the most likely candidate for father of Eli as we know that Randall Jr. very definitely drifted deep into Worcester Co., MD early while the rest of his family stuck close to their root lands in Somerset Co. around the land tracts "Unity Enlarged" and "Goshen." Eli married Sarah Owens, daughter of Peter Owens and Sarah Ruark, about 1792 in MD.1 (Sarah Owens was born in 1770-1775 in MD,1 4 5 6 died in 1841-1849 in Worcester Co., MD and was buried in Smullen Cemetery, St. Lukes Rd., Worcester Co., MD.) |
