Randall Smullen Jr. is not in Somerset Tax Lists for 1731 but is for 1733 (there is no extant 1732), indicating he turned age 15 in either 1732 or 1733.
On Nov 25 1741, Randall Smullen Sr. and Randall Jr. sold 137a of land in "Harms Worth" to Joseph Riggen, the same land that was sold to William and Edmond Smullen (and the Randalls are heirs at law) by James/Grace Woolford on Aug 10 1684 (SoLR-MF:264). On Mar 19 1742, Randall Smullen Sr/Sarah. and Randall Jr./Mary sold 137a of land in "Harms Worth" to Ahab Costen, the same land that was sold to William and Edmond Smullen (and the Randalls are heirs at law) by James/Grace Woolford on Aug 10 1684 (SoLR-MF:288).
On May 5 1763, Randall Smullen had land surveyed for him in Worcester Co., 18a called "Smullens Meadow". Randall Smullen held lands "Smullens Meadow" (18a) and "Gales Supply" (182a) (WoDebtBks, various years).
On Feb 14 1782, Randall Smullen purchased land from from Joseph Riggen, 50a of "Riggens Content." (WoLR-K:442) This is the same land he sold to Zadock Ennis on Nov 3 1790 (WoLR-N:369)
On Mar 6 1782, there is a transaction in the land records that states: On Mar 26 1768 Levin Gale of Somerset was bound unto Randal Smulling and Thomas Layfield for £500; whereas the Hon. Col. Levin Gale in his life did sell unto Randal and Thomas a parcel of land situate in Worcester County containing 340 acres being the lands whereon they live and it appeared the same lands were never conveyed to them by the said Levin Gale in his lifetime, now the aforesaid Levin Gale the Obligor hath intermarried with the only daughter and heir at law of the said Levin; now the said Levin and his wife and heirs shall permit the said Randal and Thomas and their heirs to hold, occupy and possess the aforesaid lands without the interruption of said Levin Gale or his wife or heirs (WoLR-K:409). On Jun 7 1782, in the land records: on Feb 14 1778 Joseph Riggin of Worcester sold to Randol Smullen of Worcester for £80 105a of "Riggins Content" "lying in the main woods near the said Randol Smullen's plantation" (WoLR-K:442).
On the 1783 tax list for Worcester County in Wicomico Hundred Randal Smulling is listed in possession of: "Gales Supply" 170a, "Smullens Meadow" (18a), "Riggens Content" (25a), two cows, 5 black cattle and a family of two males and three females.
On Jun 20 1789 Thomas Layfield and Randolf Smulling, being equal purchasers of "Gales Supply" (Compiler's Note: this is "Supply" surveyed for Levin Gale in 1724) in Worcester County, laid off and divided the land; witnesses William Smulling, John Harriss Hayman, Jesse Fookes (WoLR-N:8). On May 9 1789 Randolf Smulling, planter of Worcester, gave a bond to Jesse Fookes, using as security 182 acres of "Gales Supply" in exchange for £50 (WoLR-N:8)
In the 1790 census, Randall Smullen is in Worcester Co. with 1 male over age 16, two under age 16 and 2 females. On Nov 3 1790 Randall Smulling of Worcester County, sold to Zadok Ennis of Worcester County for £40 50 acres of "Riggins Content" (WoLR-N:369)
