John Hitch was indicated as a grandson of Thomas Rencher Sr. in his will written Aug 18 1806, Codicil; Sep 29 1806; and probated Oct 15 1806. This may be the John Hitch listed in the Federal Census of 1820 where John Hitch is indicated in Somerset County (pg 45) with one male age 10-16, one male age 16-26, one male age 45+, one female age 16-26 and one female age 26-45. He appears to have died bef his mother died in 1843.
