On Jun 8 1775, Rebecca Smock, widow and executrix of Thomas Smock, sold land in "Partnership" to James Wilson (all of Worcester) for 88 pounds. This was land granted to John Smock Sr. by Lord Proprietary in 1763 totaling 472a and part was sold by John Smock Sr. to his brother Thomas Smock lately dec'd in 1766 that totaled 88a. Thomas sold 44a to Solomon Collins and bequeathed the remaining 44a to James Wilson. (WoLR-I:607)

Rebecca next married Edmond Cropper, son of Ebenezer Cropper and Elizabeth (?), about 1777 in Worcester Co., MD. (Edmond Cropper was born in 1723 in Somerset Co., MD and died on 21 Jun 1799-30 Aug 1799 in Worcester Co., MD.)
