In his will written October 12, 1848 and probated July 13, 1849, George Malone mentioned sons Simone and Levi Malone as well as daughter Mary C. Hitch. (SoW-1837/59:159).
In the Federal Census of 1850, Mary Hitch is indicated on page 472, Trappe District, Somerset County, Maryland in a household as follows: - Mary Hitch, age 38 - John Hitch, age 16 - Simeon Malone (m), age 31 - Levi Malone, age 30 - James Stewart, age 21 - Levin B. Price, age 17 - Mary E. Price, age 16 - Sally A. Price, age 10 All were born in Maryland.
This is probably the "Mary M. Hitch" listed in the Allen Church Cemetery, Allen, MD as born 1816 and died 1834 (sic, 1854?).
Mary married Robert? Tubman Hitch, son of Robert Hitch and Leah Sutton, on 06 Feb 1833 in Somerset Co., MD.1 (Robert? Tubman Hitch was born in 1810 in Somerset Co., MD, died in Jun 1833 in Somerset Co., MD and was buried in Jun 1833 in Allen Church Cemetery, Allen, Wicomico Co., MD.)
