On May 1 1753, Isaac Wiltbank sold land to Purnell Johnson for 70 pounds. It is land in Broadkill Hundred and along the Broadkill River in Sussex Co., DE and contained 100a of land and marsh and part of 425a tract warranted Feb 28 1680/1, surveyed Mar 1 1684/5 for Cornelius Wiltbank, father of Isaac and son of Harmanus Wiltbank. (SxLR-I:80)

On Nov 18 1755, Isaac Wiltbank sold to John Hall Jr. for 84 pounds 240a of land that was originally surveyed for Helmanius Wiltbank by Cornelius Verhoof in 1681 and conveyed to Isaac Wiltbank through the Orphans Court. (SxLR-I:110)

On Mar 1 1756, Isaac Wiltbank received a mortgage from Samuel Rowland for 22 pounds, two shillings for land on the north side of the Broadkill River formerly the property of William Dyer, deceased who conveyed it to Cornelius Wiltbank and his wife Jane on Jun 4 1701 who devised it to his son Isaac Wiltbank, a party herein. (SxLR-I:122)

Isaac Wiltbank's will was written in 1767?? (one date, perhaps the probate, shows Apr 20 1768) but it very hard to read. One can make out the names of his wife (Elizabeth) and sons Samuel, Isaac and Cornelius - they to get £70 current money towards their rearing and education. John Hill and Cornelius Wiltbank to be executors. This is very hard to read but, given the land record following, it appears that Isaac Wiltbank's will was written in probably 1766 or 67. (SxW-A:059)

On Aug 6 1767, there is deed from Samuel Rowland, administrator to Isaac Wiltbank deceased, disposed of land that Isaac had been obligated by bond to John Mason in Broadkill Hundred, Sussex Co., DE. The land was 150a descended to Cornelius Wiltbank, father of said Isaac Wiltbank, from Helmanus Wiltbank, first patentor of said land. For £158 current money, this land was conveyed to Robert Jones formerly of Somerset Co., MD and now of Sussex Co., DE. (SxLR-I:272)

*NOTE - there is an apparent discrepancy in the will date for Isaac Wiltbank in 1768 and the land record showing his decease in 1767. Not withstanding the will being very hard to read, it was also a transcription of an earlier will so there may may been some error in the clerk's copy. There is, however, no doubt, that the will above and the land record that follows it are referring to the very same Isaac Wiltbank.
