Nancy/Ann (Pollitt) (Morris) Hitch uses both the given names Ann and Nancy interchangeably thoughout her life.

In his will written Apr 15 1838 and probated Mar 22 1842, John Pollitt mentions sons Henry and Levin Pollitt; daughters Eleanor Hayman and Nancy Hitch; and granddaughters Elizabeth Pollitt and Mahala Hayman. Benjamin P. Hitch, Benjamin Pusey and J.W. Bayly were witnesses. (SoW-1837/59:67,68)

On Oct 1873, Nancy Hitch was named guardian to George W. and Henry L. Powell. Alfred and John A. Hitch provided sureties. (SoGuardianRec-JJD5)

Will of Nancy Hitch, wife of William Hitch, was written on May 27 1875 and probated in Somerset Co. on Jan 11 1876 as follows:
Executor to be Samuel A. Graham of Wicomico Co. all my real estate consisting of my farm I now reside "Cockmore" to pay off debts.
To my daughter Nancy E. Hitch and my grandchildren Henry Lee Powell and George W. Powell, leftover funds and rest of estate, half to Nancy and other half collectively to grandchildren.
Witnesses: Josiah M. Pollitt, G.T. Bradley, Francis P. Jones. Her husband William Hitch signed consent for will. (SoW-SCL5:353)
