William Watts had been given the land tract "Newport Panell" via deed of gift on Oct 19 1724 from his parents John/Priscilla Watts. It appears that he never lived on the land as he bequeathed it to his son William Watts in his LW&T in 1743, while still residing in Accomack Co., VA.

William Watts wrote his will on Oct 2 1743 and it was proven in Accomack Co., VA on Nov 29 1743:
- To son John, land where I now live also Mills Island and Wolf's Den
- To son Charles Watts, plantation in Maryland called Mattapany and likewise Accomsick Island
- To son William Watts, land in Maryland called New Port Pannel
- To wife Comfort, 1/3 of my estate during her life
- Wife and son John executors
- Henry Scarborough appointed guardian of John Watts, heir at law to the estate
