John Watts

John Watts had 600a of land called "Watts Convenience" surveyed for him in Somerset Co., MD (modern Worcester) on Apr 22 1678 and was granted patent to it on Jun 10 1678. In modern day (2018), this land is situated on Chincoteague Bay between the towns of Snow Hill and Stockton, MD.
John Watts wrote his will on Apr 29 1680 in Accomack Co., VA and it was proven on Jun 4 1684:
- To son John. Bal. personal estate 1/3 to wife Dorothy & the other 2/3 to my children Margery, Jannett & John (all under 16).
- Wife & friend John Drumaond to be guardians of my children.
- To son John 450a where I now dwell at Accocomson and 250a on Teasers Island in Somerset County, MD granted me by patent and 300a in Somerset being the southermost part of 600a granted me by patent.
- To daughter Tabitha, now wife to John Tarr, the remaining part of my 600a in Somerset County for life then to her heirs with reversion to her heirs at common law
- Wife to be executrix
