William Miles wrote his will Dec 12 1781 and it was probated in Somerset Feb 19 1782:
-To George Miles, grandson (son of Matthias), and William Miles, grandson (son of Samuel), all lands formerly conveyed to testator from William Benson and Mathias Benson and William Warwick and James Knight. George to have the part where his father now lives and William to have the tract called Lewises. William to have a lot in Princess Anne formerly mortgaged to the testator by Samuel Ingram. George to have house and lot in Princess Anne being the lot purchased from John Hopkins. William to have looking glass. George to have Negro man "--- Doblen"
-To Peggy Pollitt, granddaughter (of Thomas), house and lot in Princess Anne Town purchaased from William Geddes, 100a of land formerly purchased from Abraham Taylor, profits from a mortgaged deed on a tract of land in the Indian Town from John Killiam, also the still purchased from John Sheriff, Negro "Martha", Negro girl "Esther"
-To Samuel Miles, son, 50a of land called the "Old Plantation"
-To Mathias Miles, son, he and Samuel to have the grist mill and saw mill on Trading Branch with all lands adjoining
-Mathias and Samuel appointed trustees of the estate and executors
-To Elizabeth Miles, wife, her thirds, Negro men "York" and "Patt" and women "Hannah" and "Isabella"
-To Rebecca Pollittt, daughter, Negro man "Robbin"
-To Betsy Pollitt, granddaughter. Negro lad "Stephen"
-To Betty Miles, granddaughter, Negro girl "Rachel"
-To Mary Pollitt, daughter, one shilling sterling and no more
-Samuel Miles, son, and John Mitchell, friend, as overseers of the estate and to advise sons
Then came: Elizabeth Miles, widow and elected to have her thirds of the estate both real and personal

William married Elizabeth Stewart??. (Elizabeth Stewart?? was born about 1715 in Somerset Co., MD and died 17 Mar 1800-13 Sep 1803 in Somerset Co., MD.)
