The Lawrenceburgh (IN) Press for Thursday, January 22, 1874 lists James Hitch's obituary. (Our records show his death as 16 January, 1874) It reads:
"Mr. Hitch, an aged Shoemaker who worked for Mr. Wuest, a brother of Mrs. Jos. White, died a few days since. He lived in Germantown, near Wolfs Grocery."

Lawrenceburg Register; November 9, 1893.--Thursday
Mrs. Joseph White died at her home on Vine Street on Wednesday morning, after several months sickness, aged 70 years. She had been a resident of this city for years and was known to most of the older citizens. The funeral takes place this Thursday afternoon at the house.

#2. Lawrenceburg Press; November 15, 1893.--Wednesday.
The funeral of Mrs. Joseph White was held Thursday afternoon, Rev. M.B. Hyde having charge of the services. She was 70 years of age and one of the pioneer residents of Lawrenceburg.

Mary married Joseph H. White on 15 Oct 1850 in Sussex Co., DE. (Joseph H. White was born calculated 02 Dec 1813 in Sussex Co., DE,^{4 5} died on 28 Aug 1884 in Lawrenceburg, Dearborn Co., IN and was buried about 31 Aug 1884 in Greendale Cemetery, Dearborn Co., IN.)
