Stephen Kellam
- Born: Abt 1722, Accomack Co., VA 1
- Marriage (1): Unknown
- Died: Bef Oct 1786, Northampton Co., VA
He received land as a gift in 1741 at Northampton Co, MD. According to Whitelaw (N113) title to the John Shepheard (died 1709) part, the northern or forked neck part, may have been passed to his granddaughter Abigail Watson, as in 1741, Thomas and Abigail Kellum deeded the land to their sons Jonathan and Stephen, saying that it was where another son Peter was then living. In 1772 a survey showed 237 acres which were divided equally, with Jonathan getting the western part in the fork of the branches, and Stephen the eastern half.
Stephen was named in his father's will on 26 July 1756 at Accomack Co, VA. He was shown as son Stephen in the will of Thomas Kellam, wife Abegal.
Stephen Kellam was named as the executor of a will on 29 April 1766 at Accomack Co, VA. It was on this date that Stephen Kellam qualified to settle the estate of Elijah Kellam, son of Abigale Kellam.
Stephen was named in his mother's will on 15 August 1772 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as my son Stephen Kellam in the will of Abigail Kellam and was given what my son Elijah gave me by his will.
Stephen died before 10 October 1786 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Stephen Kellam was granted to Charles Kellam, the will appointed Extr. The will, which was not found, was proved by oath of George Pitts. According to White law, he was succeeded by a son Charles, who in 1816 (wife Sally) left to his son Stephen, although previously he made a few small acreage sales. In 1865 Stephn Kellam left everything to a daughter Margaret Elizabeth.
Stephen married.
