Henry Smock appears to have kept all the land he inherited from his father all his life.
Henry Smock's will was written on Jul 20 1740 and probated Nov 6 1747. In it, he proclaims: - To son John, parts of land "Bachelors Lot" and "Yorkshire" on north side and along the road to Quepongo. - To son William, the part of "Bachelors Lot" on the other side of the road to Quepongo. - To son Samuel, my old plantation where I formerly lived part of "Bachelors Lot" and "Conveniency" along the main road and branch down to a place called the Slash. - To son Henry, the plantation I now live on, parts of "Yorkshire" and "Conveniency" binding along the Slash and down the Savannah to ye Bare Swamp - To wife Elizabeth, full right of the plantation and her thirds for her natural life, and she be executrix. - If son John should die with this present sickness, son Thomas Smock would get his land - son Thomas Smock to be the right and property of son Henry Smock - Rest of estate divided among all my children.
