John Smock Sr.

On Apr 11 1766, John Smock sold for 25 pounds to Nehemiah Cropper (as Crapper, both of Worcester), 225a of land in "Partnership" (as Pardnership) (WoLR-F:485). Also, on the same day, John Smock sold 88a of "Partnership" for 30 pounds to Thomas Smock. Beginning at the end of the 5th course of "Partnership" and running SE138, N23E92, N60W19, N7W87, N85W46, S42W136, the right line to the beginning (all distances in poles) (WoLR-F:486).
On May 11 1781, John Smock Sr. for love and affection, gifts his son William Smock parts of tracts "Yorkshire" and "Partnership" (WoLR-K:384) On Apr 26 1783, John Smock Sr. sold land to McKimmey Smock for 5 shillings. This is land that a certain John Smock, an ancestor of said John Smock Sr., had granted to him "Bachelors Lot" lying a being in Worcester "(then Summersit)" on Oct 25 1677. On what appears to be the same day (the date is not filled in), McKimmey Smock for love and good will gifts to John Smock land "Conveniency" (WoLR-K:522).
John Smock wrote his will Dec 1 1788 and it was probated Feb 13 1789. To wife Sarah - half of dwelling land, half of orchards, and timber to supply firewood and fence To daughter Martha - four ac of land with timber to supply firewood and fence To son John Smock - all lands at the decease of wife Sarah To daughter Betty Hadder - lands if John dies without issue provided she pay five pounds to my daughters Sarah Davis, Martha, Rachel Morris, Mary Dryden, and Levisiah Smack Executrix: wife Witnesses: James Wilson, Leah Smock, Delpha Noble.
