Philip Marvel, planter, made his will on May 4 1795 and it was proven in Sussex Co., DE on May 12 1795 and makes the following provisions: - To son Philip and that land and improves on which I now reside and adjacent land, reserving out wife Comfort's portion for her life or widowhood. Also, one yoke of oxen, one plow and harrow, and a bed and furniture. - To sons Thomas, William, Aaron, 5 shillings each and no more - To daughter Rhoda Butcher, 5 shillings - Use of my negro girl Sue to may wife for her life and then to daughter Cloe? - If wife should die before my son reaches age 18, he should have use of the lands without interference of a guardian - Wife Comfort to be executrix (SxW-E:xx)
