Note that the 1880 Census states that her father was born in DE.

Proof that Louisa is d/o William and Sarah (Disharoon) Turner is based upon a bevy of circumstantial evidence including the census, familial households, naming conventions and proximity of residences. In the 1840 Census, Middle District, Somerset Co., MD., William Turner seems to have six (6) daughters viz, 2 are under age 5 (born 1835/40), 2 are age 5-10 (born 1830/35), 1 is age 10-15 (born 1825/30) and 1 is age 15-20 (born 1820/25). Three of them are accounted for in 1850 - Juliet (b1830), Charlotte (b1836), Sally (b1833) - Disharoon Descendants states there was a Mary with unk dates and there are two missing! If we believe the 1840 census, then the following hypothesis works out:

William Turner's daughters by 1840:
One age 15/20 - Louisa J. Turner (b 1824/26); One age 10/15 - Hester Ann Turner (b 1828/30); Two age 05/10 - Juliet Turner (b 1830), Sally Turner (b 1833); and Two age 00/05 - Charlotte Turner (b 1836), Mary Turner (unk but could be b 1835/40) - she married Samuel Williams on 8/22/1855.
The proximity of this Turner family was near the James/William Jones areas and was the only Turner family in that vicinity. Was William T. Jones, s/o, James W. and Louisa J. (Turner) Jones in fact, William TURNER Jones? Finally, and importantly, Thomas Jones, s/o James and Louisa (Turner) Jones is in the household of William Turner in the 1860 Trappe, Somerset Co., MD census.

On Apr 26 1873, James/Julia Acworth, William/Hester A. Jones, Samuel/Charlotte Williams and Mary Carey, all heirs of Sally Turner, sold 13a of land for $100 to Louisa Jones, land in Wicomico Co., MD bordered land sold to Sally Turner by Anthony Bennett (Note: see SoLR-GH3:81, Dec 7 1825, 61.5a) and William Jones' lot. (WiLR-TFJR3:380)

On Aug 14 1888, Louisa Jones and her husband James Jones sold 4a of land in Wicomico Co., MD to Samuel A. Jones for $25. Land is in the 7th Election District and is bordered by lands of Thomas Brumbley, Hester Jones, William F. Disharoon and T.W. Banks. (WiLR-FMS:251)
