There is some confusion amongst all the contemporary William Malones that this researcher is still trying to resolve. However, the following records SEEM to be about the William Malone here with exception that we know A William Malone married Frances Goslee in 1799 - could this be the same William born in 1741? Probably not - that William is likely the son of Robert Malone II.
In 1780, William Malone is listed in the Salisbury Battalion, Mill Creek Co., Maryland militia during the Revolution.
In the Direct Tax of 1798, William Malone is listed as owner and occupant of "broken land" adjoining John Holbrook with a dwelling house of logs 20x16, an old kitchen 12x10, and 9 acres.
On Sep 10 1808, William Malone Sr. laid off a piece of land for George Malone for $50 on the north side of Wicomico Creek and about the head of a small creek issuing out of it called Stevens Creek. Beginning at a marked post that is a bounder of "Goddards Folly" N18.5E13.5, S35E27 to marked white oak, SE with new ditch cut by said William Malone till it intersects line of "Dashiells Lot" then with that tract till it intersects back to "Goddards Folly" and then to the beginning containing 9a of land. In the following record, on the same day, William Malone Sr. sold 14 head of cattle, 25 head of hogs, two feather beds/furniture, one large looking glass, one large Bible, 10 pieces of pewter, one large iron kettle, two iron pots and one pair fire tongs, one shovel, poker iron cradle, two chests and desk, two tables, one pair _____, four chairs, one plow/harrow, one grubbing how, two axes and two iron wedges to George Malone for $40. Then, the next record, on Aug 20 1808, William Malone and wife Frances, for $138.75, sold to George Malone a portion of the tract "Goslees Chance" beginning at its first bounder, a marked pine, and running S70E60, N20E64, N48.5W59, S8E30, S64W52 and then to the beginning containing 27.75a of land.
