She gave a deposition on Sep 11 1674 in Accomack Co., VA: Deposition of Rhode Fawssett aged about 30 years; At last April's court she heard Mrs. Tabitha Browne ask Mathew Shippe if her cart wheels were ready, and he said they were. Mrs. Browne said, "Are they good?" He said they were, and that he would warrant "the goodness of them." When Mrs. Browne asked what she should give for them, he replied, "My best wheels I sell for 500 pounds of tobacco and my ordinary wheels for 450 pounds of tobacco." Signed, Rody (S) Fawssett. Rhoda married John Fassitt on 21 May 1661 in Hungars Parish, Northampton Co., VA. (John Fassitt was born about 1635 and died 15 Aug 1673-16 Oct 1673 in Accomack Co., VA.) |
