He married Rhoda (as Rodeah) Lambertson on May 21 1661 in Hungars Parish, Northampton Co., VA. They were shown as John Fawsett and Rhoda Lamberton.

John witnessed a will on Jun 12 1661 at Northampton Co, VA where Edward Moore, John Fawset and Philip Fisher witnessed the will of Richard Bayly, wife Elizabeth.

He bought land in 1664 at Whitelaw tract A13, between Craddockville & Belle Haven, Accomack Co., VA. It was in this year that John Fawsett and Dorman Selevant bought jointly bought 500a of tract A13 from Nathaniel Bradford and his wife Alice. In 1673 John Fawsett (with wife Rodeah) left his 250a, along with another 100a from tract A14 to his son William, and 10 years later he, now of Somerset Co, sold the 350a to Andrew Steward.

On Nov 16 1665, Mr. John Fawsett, his Majestie's Attorney for Accomack County arrested Cornelius Watkinson, Phillip Howard and William Darby for acting a play called the Bare and the Cubb on Aug 27 last past.

He bought land in 1673 in Whitelaw tract A12, between Craddockville & Pungoteague, Accomack Co., VA. It was early in this year that John Fawset bought 245a from John Cropper and his wife Gertrude. Later in the year he left this part of his holdings to his sons Charles and Thomas. Thomas disappears from the record but, in 1692, Charles and a William Fawsett, both of Somerset Co., sold the 245a to Daniel Darby.

John Fassitt (as Fawsett) wrote his will on Aug 15 1673 and it was proven on Oct 16 1673 in Accomack Co., VA.
-To eldest son John, Fawsett plantation where I now live; wife Rodeah to have use of same until John arrives to 18 years.
-To son William (under 18) 1/2 of 500 acres & the other 1/2 to my son Charles (under 18).
-To son Thomas (under 18) & son Charles a tract of land called James Neck purchased of John Cropper, at the head of Occohannock Creek, being 245a.
-To daughter Elizabeth.
-Wife Executrix; Mr. Thomas Teackle & Mr. Southy Littleton to be assistants.
