William Jones the son of William and Margrett Jones was born att Little Manny ye twenty third day of September Anno Dominy one thousand six hundred sixty six
Cornelius Johnson wrote his will on Feb 14 1686/87 and it was probated in Somerset County on Jun 17 1687 with provisions to accommodate the Jones children:
-To William Jones Jr. and Daniel Jones, all of my real estate equally divided and that the longest live one possess the balance once Daniel Jones reaches age 18. William Jones Jr. to possess it till then and he to have the choice of both land and plantation land on which I now live.
-William Jones Jr. to deliver unto Margaret Jones, the daughter of William Jones, one feather bed and furniture
-William Jones Jr. shall maintain Henry Johnson out of my estate in meat, drink, washing and lodging so long as he shall live
-William Jones Jr. be my sole executor

The land the Jones boys inherited was 650a of "Mannings Resolution" and "Coxes Mistake"
On Aug 23 1703, a deed of partition occurred where Daniel Jones got the southern portion of the 850a and William Jones Jr. took the upper portion. (SoLR-L1:714)

William next married Katherine Dashiell, daughter of James Dashiell and Ann Cannon, about 1693 in Somerset Co., MD. (Katherine Dashiell was born about 1672 in Somerset Co., MD and died about 1696 in Somerset Co., MD.)
