Thomas Marvel's will was written in Sussex Co., DE on Jan 28 1797 and was probated Dec 15 1801. In it, he bequeaths:
1. Thomas Marvel -son; to have all that piece or parcel of land whereon he now lives
2. Joseph Marvel -son; to have all that parcel of land whereon the testator's son Parker Marvel has his plantation cleared --if he the said Parker refuses to make good a sufficient right of 2 of his grist mill and 2 acres of land convenient to the mill for the use of that mill to Joseph and his heirs, but should complies and makes a good title to the said Joseph for the mill then he the said Joseph shall make a good and sufficient right to Parker for all that parcel of land whereon he has his plantation, named sole executor of the will
3. Robert Marvel -son; to have 1 yoke of oxen that he now claims
4. Patience Marvel -daughter; to have 1 cow and calf, 1 bed and furn., 1 blue chest and the loom, sleighs and gears and also 1 spinning wheel, after debts and expenses are paid, the remainder of the estate to be divided between Patience, Joseph and Robert
5. Obediah Marvel -son; to have 1 shilling and no more of the estate.
6. Parker Marvel -son; to have 1 shilling and no more of the estate.
7. Stephen Marvel -son; to have 1 shilling and no more of the estate
8. Elisha Marvel -son; to have 1 shilling and no more of the estate.
9. Eli Marvel -son; to have 1 shilling and no more of the estate.
