- Dec 5 1863: Confined and then sent to Camp Chase, OH on Dec 13/15 1863
- Dec 31 1863: Discharged to Rock Island (IL)
- Jan/Feb 1864: Absent, left behind on march from Knoxville
- May/Jun 1864: Absent, left behind on march on Dec 4 1863 from Knoxville
- 6/22/1865: after signing an Oath of Allegiance to the USA (described as age 23, fresh complexion, dark hair, grey eyes and 5'-8" tall), he was released from Rock Island.

Henry married Sarah Elizabeth Tribble about 1865. (Sarah Elizabeth Tribble was born on 22 Mar 1844 in SC,⁴ died on 23 Apr 1904 in SC and was buried about 26 Apr 1904 in Rocky Springs Church Cemetery, Laurens Co., SC.)
