Catherine Hitch's obituary states, "Died at her residence in this District of dropsy of the chest, produced from Rheumatism, Catharine Hitch, consort of John Hitch, deceased, aged 67 years, 9 months and 19 days. She leaves friends, four children, number of grandchildren . . . member of the Presbyterian Church."
