Obedience was named in his father's will on 4 December 1763 at Northampton Co, VA. He was shown as a son Obedience in the will of Obedience White Sr., wife Robinson. In 1771 the land of Obedience White was surveyed as 110 acres, for which he received a new patent as "escheated from Sarah White. Then in 1789 Obedience White, wife Elishe, left to his son Teackle White. In 1824 the will of Teagle White directed that this land be sold and 3 years later it was bought by Arthur R. Savage.
He made a will on 9 April 1787 at Northampton Co, VA. To loving wife Elishe use of my land and entire estate during her widowhood and then my son Teackle to have my land. If Teackle dies without children then land to my son Obedience (under 15), but if he dies underage then land to be div. by my four daus. Fanny, Sally, Nancy and Elizabeth. To dau. Fanny £12. Wife and son Teackle extrs. Witt: George Gibson, Hezekiah Pitts. Obedience died before 10 April 1789 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that his will was probated. It was in this year that Obedience White, wife Elishe, left to his son Teackle and in 1824 the will of Teagle White directed that this land be sold, and 3 years later it was bought by Arthur R. Savage.
Administration of Obedience's estate was filed on 11 December 1797 at Northampton Co, VA. It was on this date that administration on the estate of Obedience White was granted to Hezekiah Pitts. Appraisers were Caleb Smith, Jacob Fathery, John Pitts & Major Pitts
