Joseph Whayland

In the Somerset Co., MD Orphan's Court records for Mar 24 1818, it states that William Whayland, oldest brother of Joseph Whayland, was granted administrator of his estate as he had left the country in 1807 and he was last heard from in Dec 1808. (SoOCP-1811/23:83). However, his Accounts were administered on Jan 23 1829 by William Whayland and his estate distributed to brother William Whayland and sisters Ann Malone, Rebecca Moore and Mary (is this Sarah, really, a typo?) Malone and "representatives of his brother George S. Kibble" (this was his brother-in-law). (SoAA-JP5:054)
This account also states that William Whayland had an allowance to care for Joseph until he reached age 21 from their father Thomas' estate a term of 6 years and 6 months. Thomas died about Feb 1797 so Joseph would have been 14 years, 6 months about that time, so his birth was circa Aug 1782.
