On Feb 18 1832, John/Eliza Smullen sold 10a of land to Sampson Layfield for $25, "Folly" that was patented by William Butler (sic, Stephen Smullen) on May 8 1793 (WoLR-AY:97). On Mar 21 1835 John/Eliza Smullen sell for $5, 5a of land to Lewis Causey, part of "Addition", lying between "Duncastle" and "Fockabus" (WoLR-JCH1:500).
On Jan 19 1837, Esme Purnell Smullen, son of John Smullen, receives land from John Smullen for natural love and affection, 50a of "Hardship", 25a of "Lottery" and 10a of "Slim Chance" (WoLR-JCH4:77)
