Richard Phillips the son of Roger Phillips borne of Dorothy his wife the eight day of ffebruary Annoq Dom one thousand six hundred eighty & one

Richard Phillips wrote his will on Feb 10 1724/5 and it was proven in Somerset County on Jun 11 1725 with the follwing provisions:
-To well beloved wife, Jane Phillips, my gray mare called Jenney and her increase
-To son Richard, my gray horse called Project Cut that he shall not dispose of till he reaches age 21, also my great gun
-To son George, colt that came of my gray mare and my gun with the trumpet muzzle
-To son James, my small gun
-To loving wife Jane, two cows and calves
-To five daughters three sheep a piece and heir increase
-To wife Jane to be sole executor
Witnesses: George Dashiell, Edward North

An inventory of his estate was taken on Jul 30 1725 by James Mcmorie (McMurray) and George Dashiel for 110.5.10. It was approved Sep 12 1725. (MdInv-11:124) His account was finalized on Aug 15 1727 my "John Jones, Exec. of Jane Phillips who was Exec. of Richard Phillips late of Sommerfett County Deceased." This record names four of the five daughters mentioned in the will but not named as Ann, Sarah, Elizabeth, Dorothy (MdAcc-8:333)
