Louisa Jane Jones

Mrs. Lee V. Jones - Crisfield - Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Immanuel United Methodist Church here for Mrs. Louise J. Jones, 91, formerly of Crisfield. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edith Dryden, New Castle, Del., after a long illness. She had lived with Mrs. Dryden for the past two years. Officiating will be the pastor, the Rev. Donald Hurst. Interment will be in the Allen, Md. Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born at Eden and was a daughter of the late West and Indiana Hopkins Jones and wife of the late Lee Vernon Jones. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Dryden are seven other sons and daughters, Ernest Jack and Wilson Jones, Mrs. Clara Cox, all of here, Elwood Jones, Mrs. Dorothy Sacks, both of Philadelphia, Mrs. Stella Segal, Salisbury and Mrs. Louise Alderman, Baltimore; 40 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, and a brother and two sisters, Oscar Jones, Mrs. Bertha Smith and Mrs. Carrie Hobbs, all of Salisbury. Friends may call at the Hinman Funeral Home, Crisfield, Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Louisa married Leonidas (Lee) Vernon Jones, son of Thomas J. Jones and (?) (?), in 1892 in MD.¹ (Leonidas (Lee) Vernon Jones was born in Apr 1870 in MD,^{3 4 5} died on 25 Jan 1952 in Somerset Co., MD and was buried about 28 Jan 1952 in Allen Church Cemetery, Allen, Wicomico Co., MD.)
