This family moved from Maryland to Pennsylvania between 1848 and 1850, back to Maryland in 1851 or 1852, then to Georgia by 1853, then to South Carolina, before back to Georgia in 1860 and Delaware by 1870. Death records state he died of debility on Feb 24 1876 in Wilmington; his residence was 1531 Garnett Street, Phila. His obituary is in the Feb 26 1876 issue of the Morning Herald (Wilmington, DE) and the Delaware Tribune for Mar 2 1876. The latter states he was in the 63rd year of his age.
John married Catherine Bell about 1838. (Catherine Bell was born in 1813-1817 in MD,6 7 8 9 died on 29 May 1891 in New Castle Co., DE 5 and was buried about 01 Jun 1891 in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, New Castle Co., DE.)
