John Disharoon first shows in the Somerset Tax Lists in 1756 (there is no surviving 1755 list).
John Disharoon "of Accomack County" wrote his will on May 20 1772 and it was probated in Somerset Co., MD on Aug 19 1772 with the following provisions:
- To Josephus Disharoon, brother, my land in Somerset Co. containing 200a
- To Nuton Disharoon, £10 current money of Maryland, my riding saddle when he comes of age 21
- To Obediah Disharoon, my great coat
- To Constant and Josephus Disharoon, the rest of my wearing apparel
- Rest of my estate to be divided equally between my two brothers and four sisters
- Appoint brothers Constant and Josephus Disharoon to be executors
Witnesses: William Selby, Elijah Milbourne, Thomas Stanford (MdW-38:905)
An inventory of his estate was conducted by Constant Disharoon on Oct 17 1772 with largest creditors William Heath (as Hath) and Arthur Dashiell; next-of-kin as Francis and James Disharoon (MdInv-117:175). An accounting of his estate was conducted by Constant Disharoon on Dec 22 1774 for an amount of £51.6.7½ (MdAcc-70:369)
