Robert Crouch immigrated to Virginia on Aug 7 1635 when he was transported from London to Virginia on "The Globe" by Mr. Jeremy Blackman, and was shown as Robert Crouch, age 15.

On Jun 18 1657, he served on a jury in York Co, VA and again on Jan 25 1660/61 at York Co, VA. Robert Crouch and Thomas Crouch were both on a jury.

In 1671, Robert Crouch transported himself and his wife Mary and children John and Rosemond into Maryland from Virginia. and registered a cattle mark on Sep 26 1672 in Somerset Co, MD. On Mar 10 1680, he was named in an estate settlement in Somerset Co. as a debtor to the estate of Capt. Thomas Walker. Another cattle mark was registered for him on Jun 2 1681 in Somerset Co.

He patented land on Oct 5 1681 called "Bedlam Green" in Somerset Co. containing 150a. He was named in an estate settlement in 1688 in the list of debts & payments for the estate of William Stevens. On Aug 22 1690, he gave by deed of gift the tract "White Chappell" in Somerset Co. with his wife Mary to their son Robert Crouch Jr. He was appointed Constable on Nov 8 1692 of Wicomico Hundred, Somerset Co. He patented land on Nov 10 1695 called "Whitechapell Green" in Somerset Co. containing 150a. On Nov 10 1695, he patented "Crouch's Desire", also containing 150a.

On Jun25 1697, he gave a gift of a gray mare to his daughter Mary Cary, wife of Thomas Cary. On Aug 22 1698. he gave by deed of gift, tract "Bedlam Green" with his wife Mary to John Crouch. He sold land on May 15 May 1710 called "White Chappell" to Jarvis Jenkins & Patrick MacDowell.

Robert wrote a will on Oct 30 1711 in Somerset Co. and it was probated on Nov 28 1711. To wife Mary plantation. To son Jacob Extr, White Chappell & White Chappell Green. To grandsons John Taylor, Jacob Taylor, White Chappell Green. To wife Mary Crouch's Desire. To daughter Rose. To daughter Ann. To daughter Rachell. To daughter Elisabeth. To son John. To son Robert.
