Elizabeth (Beth) Felton Williams of Fairfax, Virginia, formerly of Atlanta, died November 13, 2001. She is survived by her husband E. Powell Williams of Fairfax, VA; children, Lisa Jonczyk of Apex, North Carolina; Powell Williams, Jr. of Centreville, Virginia; Allison Tibe of Atlanta; five grandchildren, brothers Bill Felton of Atlanta; Dean Felton of Houston, Texas; aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Owens of Valdosta, Georgia; uncle, Herbert Hitch of Charlotte, North Carolina; step mother, Alice Felton of Atlanta; and other relatives an many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lois Felton, Father, John H. Felton and brother, John Felton, Jr. A Memorial Service held at St. Mark United Methodist church, 781 Peachtree St., NE. Atlanta, December 8, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. A Gathering with Family will follow the Services. A Burial Service will be held Monday, December 10, 2001 at 1 P.M. in Felton Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Beth Williams Memorial Fund, St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 9203 Braddock Road, Burke, Virginia 22015; or to Hospice of Northern Virginia, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 501, Falls Church, Virginia 22042. Watson Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia has charge of arrangements. Footnote: Beth attended Grady High School in Atlanta where she was an outstanding athlete and cheerleader. Her senior year she was elected "Best All-round." She attended Emory University. In later years she played soccer in a Fairfax County, Virginia adult league.
