Lynn Ellen McGrath

Lynn Ellen Pennewill, 69, of Eden, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Lynn was born December 2, 1940 in Salisbury to the late William and Grace (Lambertson) McGrath. Lynn was a lifelong member of St. John's Church in Fruitland. She was a 1958 graduate of Snow Hill High School and attended business school in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation she worked for the Federal Aviation Agency in Washington, DC. Later she went to work as an executive secretary for the National Park Service on Assateague Island where she retired after 30 years of service. She is survived by a son, Benjamin C. Pennewill of Eden; niece, Melanie Donophan; nephew, Patrick McWilliams; cousins, James R. McGrath, Kathy Mulcah, Tom Adylette and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, William Pennewill who died in 2007. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery in Eden. Lynn married William James Pennewell, son of Unous Delmas Pennewell and Beulah Thelma Ennis, in 1958. (William James Pennewell was born in 1948 in Wicomico Co., MD and died in 2007.)
