From the Oct 7 1893 edition of the Salisbury Advertiser newspaper (pg. 3), we find this obituary: Capt. George H. Jones died at Mt. Vernon last week aged 38 years. Capt. Jones' wife, who survives him, is a sister of Dr. A. H. Murrell of Salisbury.
George married Annie Elizabeth Murrell, daughter of Dr. Alexander Rufus (Sandy) Murrell and Sarah Anne L. Price, on 09 Feb 1881 in Mt. Vernon, Somerset Co., MD.1 (Annie Elizabeth Murrell was born on 22 Jan 1860 in Near Allen, Somerset Co., MD,8 9 10 11 12 13 died on 18 Aug 1946 in Hitch Farm, Outside Of Fruitland, Wicomico Co., MD 14 and was buried on 21 Aug 1946 in St. John's Methodist Church Cemetery, Fruitland, Wicomico Co., MD 8.)
