Mary Evelyn Allhands 2
Fred's mother's name was Mary Evelyn Alhams. My g.grandmother told me that she came from France, but perhaps it was her parents and she was born in this country. I thought she had died fairly young, and was surprised to see the reference that you had of her in a 1920 Morgan Co. AL Census. It does not fit with what I have been told about her, but I don't have any documentation one way or another. Mary married Charles Albert Hitch, son of Hugh Kerrick Hitch and Martha Jane Kimbrough, on 15 Oct 1879 in Vigo Co., IN.1 (Charles Albert Hitch was born in Apr 1858 in Edgar Co., IL,6 7 8 died about 08 Sep 1929 in Morgan Co., AL 5 9 and was buried on 11 Sep 1929 in Highland Cemetery, Covington, Kenton Co., KY.) |
