Teackle Trehearn
- Born: Abt 1780, Somerset Co., MD

*It is highly probably that Teackle Trehearn descends from James Trehearn born in Somerset Co., MD c1699, the problem lies in determining the correct linkage/lineage. Given the proximity of where he lives, it seems most likely that Teackle descends through James' son Cyrus Trehearn. There are four marriages in rapid-fire about two years apart in Coventry Parish from 1799-1802; Cyrus, Sally, Teackle and Maty Trehearne and this compiler currently specuates that these are all siblings, children of perhaps, the elder Cyrus born in 1746 and a member of Coventry Parish.
In the 1810 Census, Teackle Trehern is listed in a household Dividing Creek Hundred, Somerset Co., MD with 10010-10100.
During the War of 1812, he was a Private in Capt. Heath's Company of the 23rd Regiment (Somerset) of the 10th Maryland Brigade.
On May 23 1820, Teackle Trehearn purchased 136a of land from Gideon Pearce for $300, parts of "Winter Harbour" and "Mitchells Purchase" (SoLR-JD6:5). On Mar 7 1826, Teackle Trehearn sold 100a of land to Tubman Lankford for $200, part of tract "Winter Harbor" (SoLR-GH3:111)
On Oct 9 1832, Leah Trehearn was made administrator of Teackle Trehearn's (as Teagle) estate (WoOCP-1829/38:145)
Teackle married Leah Lankford, daughter of Levi Lankford and Leah Dize, on 11 May 1802 in Somerset Co., MD.1 (Leah Lankford was born in 1783 in MD 2 and died after 1850 in Somerset Co., MD.)
