Thomas Trehearn wrote his will on Feb 25 1866 and it was proven in Somerset Co., MD on Jun 29 1869 - To eldest son Thomas I. Trehearn, all that parcel of real estate lying south of dividing line between my lands and that formerly of Jas. Powell and now owned by Culver (no given name noted) westerly to a persimmon and crab apple tree, continue west with fence line till in intersects the county road. Also the parcel of woodland on north side of my lands - To son John I. Trehearn for his natural life all the residue of my real estate then to his legitimate children at his death - To wife Mary, one-third of my real and personal estate and my best horse and carriage - To two daughters Sally A. Mason and Alexine Atkinson, 2/3rds of my personal estate divided equally - appoint Alfred M. Miles and son John I.
