*The family patterns of Price, Malone Stewart and Hitch in the 1850 census seem to show these connections - Anne Malone had married George Price in 1832, Mary Malone married Tubman Hitch in 1833 and is mentoned as Mary Hitch (along with Simeon and Levi Malone) in George Malone's will of 1848/49. Simeon and Levi Malone are living with Mary (Malone) Hitch and (Robert) John Hitch and Levin B., Sally A. and Mary E. Price (son/daughters of George Price and Anne Malone?) and (Robert) James Stewart in Trappe, Somerset Co., MD in 1850. They are all cousins of one-another.
On May 5, 1841, Benjamin P. and William Hitch, James Anderson, and George Price paid $875 to Benjamin and Ann E. Gordy of Somerset Co. for 200 acres of land called "Dormans Conclusion" and "Chance" that Ann E. Gordy had inherited from her father Levin Dorman Jr. who got it from his father Levin Dorman Sr. as a Deed of Gift. (SoLR-LH:699)
It might be this George Price who was the admin of John Whayland's estate between Dec 6 1847 and Aug 7 1848. It mentions distribution of $1037.34 to his wife Lucinda and children William J., Thomas J., Betsy A., Wesley and Theodore Whayland (SoAA-SWJ2:98, 199, 152). George Price is not in the 1850 census so he probably passed away after August 1848 but before Jun 1850.
George married Anne Malone, daughter of George Malone and Anne Whayland, on 28 Aug 1832 in Somerset Co., MD.1 (Anne Malone was born in 1810-1814 in Somerset Co., MD 3 and died in 1841-1849 in Somerset Co., MD.)
