bullet  Notes:

The following is from a family history sent to me by Stephen J. Hitch of Kent, WA in 1997: "Kenneth Livingston Hitch married Myrtle (Tillie) Trene Asplund September 16, 1932 in Everett, WA. Tillie was born in Arlington, WA February 12, 1915. Friends introduced them and their relationship developed into a courtship and marriage. Ken was the most carefree, fun loving, and adventurous of the Hitch siblings. He became a journeyman electrician and worked with his father on many jobs. He worked for various electrical contractors in the Everett area. They made their home in Everett and were building a home in the South Everett area at the time of Ken's death. Ken was killed in an automobile accident in the North Seattle area January 10, 1941. He was cremated and his ashes were buried with his son.

Tillie's brother, Curley, moved in with them and they finished the house. Tillie and Virginia lived there until Virginia went away to college in Bellingham. Besides being a Homemaker Tillie worked as a waitress and bartender in the Everett area. In later years she has become very involved in craft work and her great grandchildren along with her daughter."

Kenneth Hitch's obituary was in the "Tacoma (WA) News Tribune" on January 14, 1941 (page 13):
