Annabel Robertson

Annabel R. Johnson, 87, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Deers Head Hospital Center. Born in Clara, MD, she was the daughter of the late Newman Maxwell Robertson and Edna Nichols Robertson. Annabel was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Fruitland Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was past president of the United Methodist Women. She attended Salisbury State Teacher's College and occasionally substituted teaching at Fruitland Elementary School. She spent most of her working life working the family farm with her late husband. She took great pride in and enjoyed working with her son in his business, Eastern Shore Forest Products, for many years. She loved gardening, bingo, cooking, and was an avid NASCAR fan and a devoted Christian. She is survived by her 2 children, Tom Johnson and his wife, Anita and Elizabeth "Betsy" Bradford and her husband, Mike, all of Salisbury; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Fay Johnson, Bryan Michael Bradford and Justin Richardson and his wife, Kim; 2 great grandchildren Cheyenne Richardson and Reagan Richardson; a sister in law, Peggy Robertson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Elmer Thomas Johnson, Sr. in 2004; and 2 brothers, Randall and Maxwell Robertson. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Pastor Karen Sadvari will officiate. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
