"Ed" Hitch Sr., 83, who had retired after 25 years as a mechanic for Farney's Auto Service in Latonia, died Saturday. Surviving are a son, Richard Jr. of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; five daughters, Janice Heeger of Covington, Dianna G. Glaser and Nancy Charlene Powell, both of Independence, Karen F. Irvin of Cincinnati and Faith E. Holmberg of Monroe, Mich.; a sister, Maebelle Troutman of Eaton, Ohio; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. The service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
