Levin Hitch
On October 3, 1823, John Sirman received a deed from Levin and William Hitch. Sirman paid the Hitches $500 for land in Broad Creek Hundred bounded by Gordons Branch originally bought by John Sirman of Benjamin Wootten, deceased, and adjoining the lands of Samuel Hitch, deceased and Levin and William Hitch. It is land originally bought by Samuel Hitch of Benjamin Wootten. (SxLR-AN:139) Levin married Eleanor (Nellie) Fooks, daughter of Benjamin Fooks and Elizabeth (Betsy) Moore, on 20 Jun 1823.1 (Eleanor (Nellie) Fooks was born on 26 Feb 1803 in DE 2 and died on 01 Sep 1833 in Sussex Co., DE 4 5.) |
