Jack Vernon Hitch, passed away at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility on August 6, 2013 at the age of 90. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1941. He joined the Navy ten days after Pearl Harbor and served in both theaters of war. He married Helen Mount, June 29, 1946 and they have three sons, Thomas (Linda), Richard (Mary), and Daniel (Debbie); eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Jack worked for National Cash Register Company for 40 years. He loved golf, fishing and he carved beautiful ducks.
