Stuart Beard, Sheffield Inn Owner, Dies
Sheffield, Sept. 9--Stuart Montieth Beard, 61, proprietor of the Sheffield Inn, died Thursday night at his home at the Inn.
He was born, Nov. 28, 1893, in Canandaigua, N. Y., the son of Maxmillian C., and Gertrude (Finley) Beard. He had been a resident of this town since 1925 when he and Mrs. Beard came here from Yonkers, N. Y. She is the former Natalie Turner of Asbury, N. J.
Mr. Beard was a World War I veteran, serving as a first lieutenant in the 6th Field Artillery. He attended the Horace Mann School in New York and was graduated from Williams College in 1916.
Besides his wife he leaves three sons; Stuart M. Beard, Jr., of this town, Henry S. Beard of Westfield, and Timothy F. Beard, first lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force stationed at Bordeaux, France.
Funeral will be held in Christ Episcopal Church Sunday at 2:30. The body will be taken to Mr. Beard's birthplace for burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery in that town. The family requests that flowers be omitted.

Stuart married Natalie Delores Sudler Turner, daughter of Henry Clay Turner Sr. and Elizabeth Ellen Sudler. (Natalie Delores Sudler Turner was born on 20 Dec 1888 in Wilmington, New Castle Co., DE and died on 07 Jan 1957 in Great Barrington, MA.)
