Obituary, posted in the Bedford (IN) Times-Mirror, February 19, 2000: Helen L. Potter, 65, 2212 M St., died at 2:43 a.m. Friday at Westview Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Iowa, she was the daughter of Austin and Adele Hitch. She married Howard "Tom" Potter on Dec. 25, 1978, and he survives. She was employed by secretarial service in Bedford and was a member of Otis Park Ladies Club and American Legion auxiliary. Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Sharon Wilson of Bedford; two sons: David Carter of Indianapolis and Dan Carter of Florida; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lois. Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Day & Carter Mortuary with Stan Wilson officiating. The body will be cremated. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the mortuary.
