" MRS. E. H. TOWNSEND
SNOW HILL - Mrs. Mamie F. Townsend, 70, died Monday in Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury after a short illness.
Born near Pocomoke City, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Indiae Pusey Carmean. Her husband was Emory H. Townsend, who died in 1961.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Winnie T. Devereaux and Mrs. Irene Baumann of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dennis Funeral Home in Snow Hill. The Rev. Charles E. Strickler, pastor of Bates United Methodist Church here will officiate. Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery, near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m."
