SNOW HILL - Emory H. Townsend, 59, died Saturday in a nursing home near Snow Hill following a prolonged illness.
A son of the late Harvey and Alice Townsend of Fruitland, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie F. Townsend of Snow Hill; two daughters, Mrs. James T. Devereaux of Snow Hill and Mrs. Robert Baumann of Salisbury; three sisters, Mrs. Harvey Pusey of Pocomoke City, Mrs. Elwood Pusey of Eden, and Mrs. homer Carmean of Cambridge.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Clay E. Dennis Funeral Home in Snow Hill by the Rev. David Bennett, pastor of the Fruitland Christian Church. Burial will be in Olivet Cemetery near Snow Hill.
There will be no viewing."
Harvey married Minnie Frances Carmean, daughter of William C. Carmean and India Ellen Pusey. (Minnie Frances Carmean was born in 1904 in Worcester Co., MD, died on 15 Apr 1974 in Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD and was buried about 18 Apr 1974 in Olivet Christian Cemetery, Worcester Co., MD.)
