Mar. 7, 1811, Purnell Toadvine deed to Joshua Morris and Kirk Gunby-land called Strife on south side of branch that issued out of Tony Tank creek and also being 1st bounder of Henry's Chance-containing 400 acres of Land-also one acre of land of a tract called Long Acre being most convenient for a mill begun by Henry Toadvine on said branch which appears to be deeded from Jesse Fooks to William Toadvine and also which was willed by Henry Toadvine to Purnell Toadvine-likewise, his saw mill with three acres of land on south side for convenience of earth to repair the dam-for sum of $600.00 current money. (Seal) Purnell Toadvine. March 7, 1811 personally appeared Zipporah Toadvine, wife of Purnell Toadvine, having been interviewed separately and apart, and acknowledges above to be her act and deed. Moved to Harrison Co., KY by 1820 and probably before his brother William married there in 1817.
