John Hitch
Mustered into the Army on July 20, 1846 to Co. A, Capt. W. L. Sanderson's 2nd Regiment Indiana Volunteers under Colonel William A. Bowles. He mustered out in June 1847 in New Orleans. John married Anna Riggle, daughter of Michael Riggle and Dorcas (?), on 18 Aug 1838 in Clark Co., IN.1 (Anna Riggle was born in 1815 in IN,3 5 6 7 8 died in 1898 in IN 5 and was buried in 1898 in Sellersburg Cemetery, Sellersburg, Clark Co., IN.) |
