On Jan 9 1688/89 John Gosling bought 100a of land tract "What You Please" from William Keene, Sr. et ux. Ann Keene for 3000 lbt (SoLR-BWZ:013). On Jun 14 1697, he sold 50a of it (with wife Frances) to Joseph Venables (SoLR-L1:424).
John Goslee's will was probated in Somerset Co. on Jul 13 1721 as:
-To son Richard, a 2-year old heifer
-To son John, a little pot and 4-year old heifer and iron spit
-To daughter Sarah, my biggest iron pot
-To daughter Mary, the middle iron pot
-To son Matthew, the 4-gallon pot and he to be under the care of Thomas Byrd till he reaches age 18
-To wife the feather bed and bolster I now lie on and a gray horse, bay mare, corn and meat for the use of my family and that which she brought with her before I married her instead of her thirds
-To son Thomas, an iron pestel
-The remainder to be divided among my five youngest
-To daughter Rachel, a young ewe
-Son James to be sole executor
